“…Ye shall straightway find him, before he go up to the high place to eat: for the people will not eat until he comes, because he doth bless the Sacrifice; and afterwards they eat, that be bidden. Now therefore, Get you up; for about this time, Ye shall find him”. (1 Samuel 9 vs 13). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

Pastor Jerry(_)STREAMS OF JOY Grow In KnowledgeOne thing that is evident in Today’s Focal Scripture is the fact that the Young Maidens that Saul met had a lot of information that he needed. They knew Where, When and How to find Samuel. They knew there was a Sacrifice, they even had details about how the Sacrifice usually held. The Young Maidens knew more than Saul knew. They were ahead of Saul in knowledge. Saul needed to meet Samuel before being anointed as King, and these maidens knew so much to help him progress.

Knowledge helped Saul step into Royalty smoother and faster. Knowledge lessened,if not totally erased ambiguities from his path. Knowledge gave him Power. Notice carefully, that Saul didn’t just operate with an information. The information the Young Maidens gave him determined his line of action; So, Information becomes Knowledge when there is a change of behaviour. Put differently, KNOWLEDGE HAS NOT TAKEN PLACE WHEN THERE IS NO CHANGE OF BEHAVIOUR!

Did you notice that Saul took his time to listen to the Young Maidens? Put it differently, he invested in Knowledge! When you know better, you do better. Did you also notice that the Young Maidens were knowledgeable too? Saul was surrounded by women of knowledge on his path to royalty!

Grow In Knowledge Friends, Invest in it. Read valuable books, engage in enlightening and robust discussions. Learn from more competent people. You may be a champion at what you do, but look out for better champions and draw lessons from them. Create a network of intelligent and knowledgeable people around you; you can never be wrong doing that!

Pray with me, Lord, I receive the Grace to grow in Knowledge.

Enjoy a Splendid Tuesday!
